ANIMALES ARBÓREOS Y PLANTAS

La próxima vez que vayas a un bosque, recuerda que un árbol puede ser el hogar de muchos mamíferos, insectos, pájaros y diferentes tipos de plantas y hongos.

1. Esto es muérdago. Crece sobre las ramas de los árboles. La planta es un parásito. Toma agua y nutrientes del árbol. Pero el muérdago es importante porque muchos pájaros y animales lo comen.

2. Este pájaro se llama pájaro carpintero porque picotea troncos de árboles. Hace agujeros en el tronco. Sus bebés viven en el agujero. Los pájaros carpinteros comen insectos que viven en los árboles.

3. Algunas setas crecen en los troncos de los árboles, pero no las comas. Algunas de ellas son venenosas.

4. Las ardillas viven en nidos en los árboles. Ellas construyen sus nidos altos para protegerse de depredadores. Su comida favorita son las nueces.

5. Estos escarabajos ponen sus huevos en árboles muertos. Cuando nace la larva, comen la madera muerta.

Mi destino de vacaciones ideal

Nuestra familia vamos a un camping durante las vacaciones de verano. ¡Es muy divertido! Vamos a un camping en el Bosque Sherwood. La gente está en cabañas o casas en los árboles. Hay un montón de cosas para hacer. Hay un golf loco y una pared para escalar (rocódromo). Hay también una piscina increíble. Cuando vayas a un camping de vacaciones, recuerda coger las cosas de natación. Por Zach

En vacaciones, me gusta explorar el bosque con mi hermano, Zach. Puedes ver increíbles plantas y animales en el bosque. Cuando vayas no olvides coger una cámara. Es un gran lugar para hacer fotos, Por Clare
